This representation of a mother’s hand holding her infant’s hand was sculpted out of white stoneware clay and fired once. It was then hand finished with multiple glazes and washes to bring out the character and texture of the piece. Then it was retired.
To finish off this piece it has been mounted 8-ply archival mat with a suade appearance, to enhance the color and texture of the work. It has been framed to a depth of 3”behind museum acrylic glass to minimize glare and reveal all the dimension and and texture of the sculpture.
It measures 21.25” x 17” x3” and is ready to wire hang.
